The Second Detail
Throughout his creative career, William Forsythe has consistently reaffirmed his credentials as a master of unexpected choreography and has developed a highly original personal style. The Second Detail is pure Forsythe: unconventional, complex, playful, and very physical. With his impressive technique and his love for movement for its own sake, this piece allows the audience to relax and embrace the dancers’ obvious joy. Unrestrained delight is welcome in the context of this powerful and energetic work, which fully celebrates the potential of the ballet body.
