The CND takes part in the professional meetings of the MMMAD Festival 2026
With the aim of continuing to bring the Compañía Nacional de Danza closer to interdisciplinary research and innovation, as well as strengthening the dialogue between choreographic creation and emerging technologies, on 20 April, CND Director Muriel Romero took part in the professional meetings Performing Arts Technologies and Hybrid Practices, held as part of the MMMAD Festival 2026.
La sesión, desarrollada en la sede de IED Madrid Design District, reunió a artistas, tecnólogos, investigadores y gestores culturales en un espacio de intercambio centrado en el impacto de las nuevas tecnologías en las artes escénicas contemporáneas. Durante el encuentro, se abordaron cuestiones como la colaboración entre creadores y desarrolladores, la integración de herramientas digitales en los procesos escénicos o la aparición de nuevos lenguajes híbridos en la escena actual.
Muriel Romero’s participation, alongside Mikołaj Bielski, Artistic Director of Réplika Teatro, highlighted the importance of creating spaces for shared reflection in which to rethink the relationship between the body, technology and artistic creation, within an ever-evolving artistic context.
These sessions, organised to foster exchange among professionals, have provided a key meeting point for the development of new methodologies and collaborative models at the intersection of the performing arts and creative technologies.
These initiatives strengthen the Compañía Nacional de Danza’s position in the fields of research and innovation, helping to expand the possibilities of contemporary choreographic creation and its connections with other areas of knowledge.
