CND Open Studio Workshops
Open Studio Workshops for non profesionals
Within the framework of the social program Somos CND, the Compañía Nacional de Danza offers non-professionals in dance a unique opportunity to get closer to this art through workshops led by our dancers, répétiteurs, and teachers.
The 'Open Studio' workshops are free of charge, with limited capacity, and will be held at the Company's headquarters (Paseo de la Chopera No. 4, Madrid).
Registration must be requested by email at somos.cnd@inaem.cultura.gob.es on the following dates:
- From February 19 to March 5 for the workshop The Carnival of the Animals on 03/08/26
- From April 1 to 16 for the workshop We Move and Premiere on Sunday 04/19/26
- From April 29 to June 14 for the workshop What Moves on 05/17/26
- From June 17 to July 2 for the workshop Gyrokinesis: Move, Breathe, Reborn on 07/05/26
The Carnival of the Animals with María Muñoz (CND dancer)
For boys and girls aged 1 to 4, accompanied by an adult. Description: Through the representation and imitation of animals, we will discover the possibilities, rhythms, and movements that our body is capable of offering. A workshop of art, bonding, and body exploration. The activity will be conducted with an adult so that it can be shared, bonded over, and enjoyed together. Registration: February 19 to March 5.
Sunday, April 19, 2026. Schedule: from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
‘Moving and Premiering’ with Catalina Arteaga (CND ballet master) and Ana M. Calderón (CND soloist dancer)
For people with no dance experience, ages 14 and up
Description: an experience in developing body movement in relation to space and the people around us. We will use different styles of music and rhythms. We will see where all of this takes us and will end up… dancing!
